Ink Starvation

Magenta ink starvation has occurred in the image below. Starvation may be caused by:
1. Improper prime of cartridge. Reprime and then run a color test in a low pass mode (1 or 3 pass) until satisfactory.
2. Ink restriction in ink delivery system (loosening reservoir caps may allow for pressure balance in system). NOTE: GO ink will clog ink lines after 3-4 weeks if not in use.
3. Male valve coupling on cartridge tubing needle may be clogged; clean with alcohol. Always change cartridge tubing needles after 120 cartridge changes. Replace cartridge tubing needle if a break in line or at seal is suspected.
4. Cartridge may have a leak between the cartridge lid and the cartridge body, thus causing the cartridge to deprime (10ml flows back to reservoir). Replace cartridge.
5. Cartridge jet plate has a faulty seal. Observe for pooling ink in service station. Replace cartridge.
6. Ink delivery system female valve coupling may be defective. Replace both female valves.
Ink starvation may occur from 10 minutes to several hours. NOTE: for big leaks in the ink delivery system the ink will run back to the reservoir immediately. For small leaks ink will usually leak out base of cartridge - observe for pooling ink.
Always run a color test @100% in a low pass mode to verify proper pressure levels in the system.
